Duncan/Southerland

Evan: I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona, but am in the process of moving to Washington, DC. I am the only son of a family of four. Being raised in a Military home sparked my love for traveling and meeting new people. When I was 10, I started learning Bagpipes with my dad and continued to pursue competitions overseas. In my free time, you can find me reading, grappling in Jiu Jitsu, traveling, and working. Moving out of high school, the Lord has been teaching me a lot about time management and the importance of investing as much as I can in the time that he has given me. I enjoy running primarily because of all the people that I have been blessed to meet and the way that it pushes me outside of my comfort zone. I hope to meet many of you and look forward to fostering relationships at NatCon!

Joy: My hometown is a small place called Pleasant Valley, Nevada. However, being raised in a military home, I happily call Alabama a second home, and I enjoy traveling as a family in our RV. I am the second oldest of a five-sibling household with three brothers and one sister (an answer to my 10 years of praying). I currently work at a Christian magazine called Calvary Chapel Magazine, where I have the opportunity to interview others about their testimonies and share them with church bodies around the globe. Outside of work, some of my greatest enjoyments with my family include boating at Lake Tahoe, playing cards, painting with my little sister, and sipping sweet tea. The Lord's teaching me how His creation helps us understand scripture, such as His glory in Revelation 4, and wisdom in Proverbs 30. Looking forward to getting to know you all more!
